I.             Call to Order and Quorum Call: Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m.

II.            Review/Adoption of Minutes: 3 December 2024

MM made by Wrede, 2nd by Larry to approve the RGHOA monthly meeting minutes as presented.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

 

III.     Committee and Officer’s Reports

A.   Ponds - Trina Dooley – Reports continue to be provided monthly, but only when requested.  All Aquatic Weed Control invoices have been paid.  Ponds are looking good due to the cooler weather.

 

B.   Parks – Rick Huber – Reported that he figured out how to turn on/off the fountain light.  Vendor will perform maintenance on the fountain and he will meet them in the park at that time. 

TECO performed easement trimming on the east side of the park

Will provide a much more detailed list of items needing corrected in the coming months.

 

C.   Newsletter - Carolyn Austin – Nothing to report

 

D.   Website - Ralph Brown – Nothing to report

 

E.   Landscape – Larry Barroner – Bright view (BV) continues to provide status reports on a recurring basis.  BV has been in contact with TECO to assist with removal of a large branch at the Boyette entrance.  Still waiting on BV to provide the estimate for removing post Hurricane Milton dead branches along Donnymoor.

 

Approved two irrigation repairs in early January. 7 January 2025 – SO# 8582715 for the replacement of a Rainbird 2-inch valve for $645.00.  10 January 2025 – SO# 8585101 for the repair of a 4-inch line south side of Donnymoor at Racine for $640.00.

 

F.    Finance/Budget – Kathy Hofstad – Normal monthly financials.  Will check with GPI to discuss the increase in office supplies fees.

 

MM by Ralph, 2nd by Wrede to refund 2 homeowners (8760, 8719) late and interest fees of $26.50.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

MM by Ralph, 2nd by Wrede to write off 3 small balances owed for: 8568 - $3.00, 9097 - $1.54, 8467 - $.79.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

G.   Riverglen ACC – Ali Houshmand

ACC requests: the committee received (8) requests.

MM by Wrede, 2nd by Ralph to ratify the ACC approval for items 1 - 8.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

MM by Wrede, 2nd by Ralph to ratify the ACC disapproval of item 9.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

First Letters: (6) MM by Wrede, 2nd by Larry to accept the recommendation of the ACC for first letters.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Second Letters: (2) MM by Wrede, 2nd. By Larry to accept the recommendation of the ACC for second letters.  Motion carried unanimously.

A.   Hurricane Cleanup – Update provided in Landscape

 

B.   Board Vacancy – Still seeking a volunteer from Riverwatch to fill vacant position

 

C.   Basketball backboard replacement – still researching potential vendors

 

D.   Online Paint palette – Sherman Williams completed, will have at next meeting

 

E.   Board Certification Courses – Recommended all board members should renew

 

F.    South County Pipeline Public Meeting – 2 meetings available for different phases, McMullen Road phase; Tuesday 4 Feb 25, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Family Life Center.  Boyette Drive phase; Tuesday 11 Feb 25, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Family Life Center.

 

VI.       New Business

 

A.   Request to waive late fees/interest – discussed in Finance / Budget

 

B.   Noise complaint – Recommended contacting HCSO to report complaint

 

       VII.       Homeowner Concerns

                       

A.   Sidewalks – It appears the county has initiated the repair of some sidewalks.  Concern is for the county to repair the areas that need it the most including sidewalks along Donnymoor.
